We are Harvesting Electrical Engery from the Sun!

Yesterday evening I flipped the circuit breakers on. No sparks or explosions spraying acid and bits of molten lead. Phew! The displays all came on and power started flowing into the battery bank. It was late and very overcast so not much power went into the batteries. Today should be different. I cant wait to get home and see how much power we produced. We are still on the grid. I wanted to charge the batteries first and I also want to be home when we switch over but the system works and it is harvesting the suns energy.

Tomorrow I drive a couple hours to San Juan and hopefully get our 75% tax credits! Pictures will be coming soon.

Jeff and Katrina,

Big congratulations! We can't wait to see the pictures of the finished product and to read how much power you are harnessing from "el rubio sol de Borinquen" (or PR's blonde sun). I hope the tax credit stuff goes well!

Greeting from Guam

We just moved to Guam about 9 months ago. We are in the process of building a house out in Yona (Very rural). House should be completed in about 4-6 months.

There is no sewer system so we will use septic tank with leaching field. We will incorporate solar water heater. Because Guam does have typhoons and power can be out for 1-2 months in some areas, we want to install 2 KW wind Turbine with Batteries. Not exactly sure if we can go totalally Off-grid but currently we are only useing about 300 KW per month. This will be one of the first turbines for a residential house. We are looking into any help with grants or any assistance and information that you can provide.

We were in Puerto Rico about 7 years ago. My wife's sister was living there. Almost moved there.

Thanks

Lenny Oberg

I knew you were smart, Jeff, but you've just proved to be a genius with this solar power system! You sure take after your dad. Much love and luck, Mare
